Magical scene at after school clubs pick-up time. Excellent drama teacher had the little kids outside under the shade of the trees in front of the kitchen garden doing their thing. I’m sure those kids will remember it forever.

Had a kickabout with one of the neighbourhood kids and my neighbour downstairs in our close this evening. Although we let the kid win 20-0, I still got it!

Big kid lost another tooth the other night. We often have no cash in the house other than what he has in his various piggy banks, wallets, boxes. The tooth fairy has been recycling the same two pound coin for three teeth now, and this time he said, “Hmmm… This coin looks familiar…” But that was it, the coin was discarded and it’s now back in my box waiting its next mission.

Little kid went on his first all day school trip to Whipsnade Zoo yesterday. When he jumped off the bus at pick-up time he excitedly told me he’d “been to Europe, and it’s not far away!”

Big kid attended his high school transition day today along with kids from all the local primary schools. He was the only one to take a pen, and the only one to take notes.
