Boiled gammon, mashed potatoes, carrots and white sauce.

My Gran and my Mum used the make this. Carrots boiled with the bacon joint. Sweet as!

I made a Snowman out of mashed potatoes, with sausage arms, carrot nose, onion mouth, cabbage scarf, roast potato hat and gravy eyes and buttons.

Will little kid eat it?

A wet and wild white-knuckle ride home into driving wind and rain on the London Orbital.

Big kid went home with his Auntie and cousins on Monday night, so later I will go and collect him. Hopefully traffic will be a lot less than usual today.

Last year I feel like I tried out some new ways of doing things that make my life better.

  • journaling
  • reading more
  • listening to music more
  • being more sociable online, less time on X
  • writing (and publishing/sharing) more
  • eating less red meat and more beans/pulses instead
  • walking more regularly

This year I managed to put up bookshelves and bunk beds, fixed a cupboard door back on in the kitchen with new hinges, replaced the silicone seal around the kitchen sink, and unblocked the kitchen sink and the toilet (several times).

But I’m not your handyman.
