Exciting news - big kid found (what we think is) a faint Saturn not far from a bright Venus in the night sky with little kid’s binoculars.
Less exciting: driver side headlamp and brake lamp need replacing. Two years ago, I felt confident and competent enough to replace a headlamp myself, but today I was really hoping Halfords could do it for me, but they don’t have the brake lamp in stock until next week.
Exciting first day back at school as the skies suddenly opened up and dropped huge, fat flakes of snow on the kids as they waited to go into their classrooms.

Little kid ate a leftover sausage and reheated chips.
Big kid had a bowl of rice and gravy followed by two taco shells with cheese and two soft tacos fried with melted cheese.
After which he asked, “What’s for dinner?”
Had some crispy taco shells with lettuce, some chopped avocado, cucumber, red pepper and onion, and sour cream with the chilli sans carne.
Chilli was HOT!
The peace and quiet is great, but not entirely relaxing. When the kids are quiet it usually means they are up to no good, or something is wrong.
Making chilli sans carne this morning. Kids are back at school tomorrow, so they are hanging out in the bedroom away from the smell.
2-2 in the end after an exciting second half of end-to-end football. United played like a team transformed in confidence and belief. They scored first, and didn’t wilt completely after Liverpool equalised and then went ahead after a VAR penalty decision (technically correct, blah, blah, blah) over-ruled the ref’s “clear and obvious error” in waving play on. They grabbed an equaliser themselves and should have won it at the death, but Zirkzee (probably lacking in confidence after being subbed in the first half against Newcastle) chose to pass to Maguire rather than shoot. Maguire shinned it over the bar.
