Finished reading: Interference by Brad Parks 📚

Read this very quickly (for me), so it’s a page-turner and an enjoyable thriller. Quantum entanglement meets murder mystery.

Slightly off-putting when I realised at the end that all the prime suspects were either Chinese, Indian or Egyptian, apart from a couple of white guys who turned out to be wrongly accused and just too damned rich, powerful and clever.

Still setting up this bloody laptop.

Kids are enjoying scooting into school in the mornings.

I’m like some retired secret service security detail chasing after them shouting “SLOW DOWN!” and “IT’S NOT A RACE!” and (to the big one) “LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER BEFORE YOU CROSS THE ROAD!” and “NOT THAT SHOULDER!” and (to the little one) “MIND THAT OLD LADY!” and “USE YOUR BRAKE!” and (to myself) “AAARRRGGGHHH!!!”

Putting my feet up before the school run starts again. The ball of my right big toe is very sore.

‘Under UK law, it is now an offence to enter the country without permission, while international law states that refugees should not be penalised for illegal entry.’

Gotta love that rules-based international order.
