Finished reading: The Last of the Moon Girls by Barbara Davis 📚
Five stars not enough. A murder mystery fairytale witch hunt romance, beautifully woven together.
Bloody hell! Porridge Radio are calling it a day.
Chomping on pistachios, I became aware that I was doing all the chomping on one side of my mouth. Switched to the other side and was reminded that I have a molar missing.
Relaxing morning with the kids.
I’m sucking on stray lumps of Red Leicester while stirring the rest of the grated cheese into thickened white sauce, monitoring the macaroni simmering in the other pan (for big kid and me), and checking on sausages in the oven (for little kid).
Big kid is playing Minecraft with a friend and little kid is exploring space on his tablet.
Wife is having her morning nap.
The funder who changed the closing date has rejected our grant application as it was submitted late.
No great loss as it’s confirmed now (and we kind of knew it already) that our project proposal would have very little chance of success anyway.
After “fixing” my pyromaniac toaster I have now, somehow*, reconnected my anti-social music player with the internet.
Time for a cup of tea.
*Fiddled around with various router settings.

Read this very quickly (for me), so it’s a page-turner and an enjoyable thriller. Quantum entanglement meets murder mystery.
Slightly off-putting when I realised at the end that all the prime suspects were either Chinese, Indian or Egyptian, apart from a couple of white guys who turned out to be wrongly accused and just too damned rich, powerful and clever.
