I arrived three minutes later, late to the show.

Last year I had a plan:

  • fundraising for youth work
  • fundraising for school
  • local democracy activism
  • health improvements
  • a new hat

I was successful with the first two, partly successful with the third and fourth, and while I did buy a new hat it was the same colour and style as my old hat.

I’ll take that as a win.

Saw a few people mentioning Pluribus so I gave it a try. Had to switch off about half way through episode one. As my wife pointed out, “You don’t like zombie movies”.

Leftover cauliflower, broccoli and roast potatoes made a tasty bake in a Red Leicester cheese sauce.

Wife said it was “bloody delicious!” which she never does, so that’s got to be a win.

I just had mine and it’s certainly very fucking good.

Something no one mentioned, but I had thought about and normally do, is bread sauce. No one eats it but me, but I think I will make some next year. I missed it.

Xmas lunch all prepared, cooked and eaten, washing up done as well, by 2:15 pm. Yes, I did forget the cranberry sauce until halfway through.

A plate is filled with roast chicken, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, sausages, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and parsnips, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and gravy.
