I had the noise pollution team in my house yesterday. They heard all the forking noise, investigated the source and told me that “there’s a housing crisis, you just have to out up with it.” I pointed out that this has nothing to do with any housing crisis, and we were here before the industrial site was built.

Today they emailed to say it doesn’t count as noise nuisance, and there’s nothing they can do.

I have asked them to explain why their colleagues throughout the previous fifteen years have always managed to resolve the issue, but they cannot do the same now.

Looking forward to the day when I will legally be branded a terrorist for wearing my hat.
